Juxtaposing old school customer service, innovative social media fun and quality distinctive products, Tile America has linked up with Nicole White and Mike Riccio for the House that Social Media Built “Clamdigger” project in Guilford. Tile America was selected for the project because of their extensive experience, vast knowledge, creative design elements and reputation for excellence in customer service.
“We take pride in being a full service company with some of the best in-house designers around, who take the time with each customer, to go through a variety of layouts, sketches and whatever it takes in the showroom so customers leave feeling fully taken care of,” explains Tile America’s outside sales representative Angela Legg who is extremely proud of the company’s new showrooms, which Riccio likens to “artist studios”.
“We absolutely love the New Haven showroom. If you are in the New Haven for any reason, make sure to stop in, you will be amazed at how beautiful this showroom is,” says Nicole in one of the team’s “Clamdigger” facebook posts.
Industry leaders agree, in 2017 Tile America won two HOBI awards, (Home Building Industry Award which recognize excellence in new construction, remodeling, sales and marketing, land development and home financing) one for the Manchester showroom and the other for the West Hartford showroom.
“With our remodeled showrooms, we have created an imaginative atmosphere that inspires our customers. It’s important to us that our customers can see the same products here as they see on TV,” says Legg who excited Tile America is part of the “Clamdigger” project. “We want to be part of the next big thing just like our customers.”
For the past two years, White and Riccio have taken a fresh approach to house flipping, meshing together local merchants, facebook, instagram and the public, to create a HGTV, DIY home refurbishing experience. Along the way, the over 5,000 social media followers vote on various aspects of the design and renovation, including shower surrounds, countertops, cabinets, flooring, backsplashes, front door styles, door knobs, paint color and more.
Currently the “Clamdigger”, located at 285 Old Whitfield St. in Guilford, is in its final stages of completion and Tile America has been instrumental in the process. With fifty plus years of experience in the industry, the Connecticut based business, which has six locations throughout the state, was the source for the master bathroom floor to ceiling tile shower surround and tile flooring, as well as the shower and floor tile in the guest bathroom and the kitchen backsplash.
With a turnaround time of two to three business days for the average order, Tile America customers can make their choices and get their products quickly and easily, which is just one of the many reason White and Riccio chose to work with this company. And thanks to exclusivity with manufacturers all over the world, Tile America has some superior products, which are in stock and ready to go. One of those vote winning, products is highlighted in the “Clamdigger’s” guest bathroom. It is a blue/grey colored, wave glass tile with a distinctive, fun shape and style.
“I am absolutely in love with this tile! It fits perfectly with the clean, easy, simple style of the entire house,” explains Legg.
Also featured in the home is Tile America’s, elegant, white, hexagon mosaic backsplash, which won the popular social media vote for the kitchen accent, beating out chevron vertical and stacked subway style tiles.
Working hard to stay on trend Legg explains, “What’s currently popular is simple, clean, understated white and grey tones. White marble is hot, hot, hot, as is porcelain made to look like marble and wood, using innovative technology,” says Legg, who is super excited about the “Clamdigger” reveal party, which will take place on March 1st, at the house, from 4 to 8 p.m.
“I can’t wait for people to see this house. It’s not just the work that Tile America has been a part of, it’s literally the entire house. Everything looks great!”
