To paint a landscape, Baron’s Cove is the quintessence of the Hamptons coastal living. Built in the colonial revival style, the main hotel is comfortable and chic, arranged with large fireplaces, and massive windows framing the harbor scene outside. Most of the room interiors are a rhapsody in white—a constant reminder of its beachside locale.
Our concierge had fantastic recommendations for dining out at some of The Hampton’s finest dining establishments. We chose to dine on the veranda. It was exquisite. The menu had something to choose from and depending on your mood something for every flavor.
Spacious bedrooms have cozy accommodations. The bathrooms are simple and nice, dazzling tiled in white. In room were high thread count monogrammed sheets, organic soaps, even the perfectly curated lounging experience outside in our own private veranda. HDTV’s, Wi-Fi, a private fridge, each room at Barons Cove provides top shelf ammenites even dog-friendly rooms for guests who travel with their pets.
Enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine in the bar area, and get to know the locals during happy hour. Don’t miss the live music on weekends; a MUST. Better yet, grab a table upstairs at The Restaurant at Baron’s Cove, and dine in the exquisitely nautical dining room. Get a taste of Chef Matty Boudreau’s delicious seasonal creations, such as his legendary seafood stew. Sure to hit the spot! Or try the deck in the morning and catch a cup of coffee and that spectacular view of the Yachts. Lofted ceilings, and sailing burgees add to its coastal whimsy.
Once a northeast whaling village, rich in maritime history, you can visit much of the past of Sag Harbor through local well kept museums. Sag Harbor is true to its roots and is still fighting the right to keep out big corporations such as Starbucks. This community supports the Variety Store and the Main St Pharmacy which take you back to wholesome. All the side streets dotted with quaint capes as far as the eye can see. This town a year round oasis awaits.
